What drew you to coaching, and what keeps you passionate about it?
The possibility to be a benevolent external perspective for people to help them see their strengths, potential, and beauty as humans and help them grow and
reach beyond what they thought possible.
What's one belief about workplace wellbeing that you wish more people held?
We are human beings, not only humans working. Our mental health and emotional wellbeing are fragile. It is possible to learn new emotional detachment tools, and also to build resilience and adaptability.
Describe your coaching style in three words, and why those three?
Empowering, light & deep. My mission is to help folks give themselves permission to live authentically, put themselves in the driver’s seat of their lives, Light, because our conversations are simple and direct and brings participants hope and peace. And deep, because I an a fervent user of third vault, honest conversations. Life is both messy and a lot and I am there to embrace the darkness, blind spots, trauma and move beyond to create beauty.
What does Kōkua, the spirit of helping each other, mean to you in your day-to-day work?
That is the most beautiful part of life: To help, to lift up and to support. It is the most purposeful work that one can have.
What's a myth about coaching you'd love to bust once and for all?
That people don’t have the strength to learn and change. If we are open, choose to navigate life differently, we can change our whole lives for the better!
If you weren't a coach, what would you be doing, and is there a thread connecting the two?
Neuropsychologist. I love humans, the human brain, communication and the possibility to change our lives.
